The Centre for Road Control in NIVELLES

The Centre for Road Control spreads out over a surface of more than 10 hectares. It was especially conceived for specific training purposes to improve road safety.
In the Centre for Road Control you don’t drive between plastic cones but on real roads with all kinds of bends and of which quite a few can be sprinkled. The instructors can change the grip conditions in a matter of seconds. This enables them to simulate all weather circumstances: dry roads, black ice, wet roads or even aquaplaning.
Equipements :
nine different grip levels
seven independent platforms
five braking straights on which exercises can be done from 30 up to 120 km/h
two slippery tracks, one in a straight, the other one in a bend (they simulate the effects of black ice on the road).
walls of water that pop up at random in front of the vehicle.
Mobile photo-electric cells, which will show the speed of the vehicle at the entry of the exercise.
The Training Centre of FRANCORCHAMPS

The Francorchamps training centre, also disposes of an infrastructure that is unique in Belgium.
The track is only a few steps away from the Spa Francorchamps racetrack (which does not mean we receive only race drivers). With it’s four kilometres of different roads it spreads out over a surface of over 50 000m².
During the design of this track, we always kept realism in mind: you don’t drive between plastic cones but on real asphalted roads. These roads form all kinds of bends, but also consist of all kinds of road surface: sprinkled roads (by an underground system), straights and bends with “black ice” and gravel roads.
